Well, it's been a long time since I posted anything. I'm not sure why but I just haven't. And now I'm back. It seems I'm drawn to this blogging world. haha. I love it. Besides, I have to keep up on all the new media outlets somehow, right?

So, here it goes: life since my last post.
1. vegas trip
2. school
3. family
4. roommates

1. Lindsey, Amanda and I went to Vegas for the Valentine's Day weekend with our FHE brothers. It was really fun and SUCH a good break from school. I didn't do any homework. Turns out that probably wasn't the best idea but it seemed right at the time. We visited the temple while we were there :) Pretty. Also, Amanda lost her phone while we were there but the temple said they found it so they're mailing it to her. How nice is that?

2. School is going a lot better than it was at the beginning of the semester. I'm still writing for the campus paper and I actually love it. I've been assigned to the girls basketball team and even though I thoroughly dislike women's sports, I do like our BYU team so that's good. Plus, they might get me another free trip to Vegas so we'll see :)
3. I miss my family. Lindsey and I are both thinking about staying Spring and Summer and I don't want to. If I find a job here that'd be good and I'd stay but I'll miss being home so much. Luckily, my sisters are coming to visit in a few weeks! Casi is happy with her fiance and all is well in the wedding world.
4. My roommates are truly amazing. I honestly feel like they fill up a part of my life that was missing. Cheesy? Maybe but it's ok. We have so much fun together and I love it. That's probably the number one reason none of us are married though... because we like to spend so much time together and not with boys. haha.
So that's life. It's stressful, but who's isn't?

You know when something happens in your life that you never thought would happen? Ya, that's pretty hard to handle.

School:
Number 1 source of stress in my life by far but I'm learning to love it. I'm writing for the school newspaper so that brings a large amount of work and stress into my life but I like it. I'm not quite sure if I'm cut out for it though because I get so nervous all the time talking to so many people but I'm trying :) Does that count?
Life: I'm still alive.
Boys: hahahahah
Sisters: We're going shopping today for wedding stuff :)
Rommmates: They're pretty much the only reason I'm still alive even though two of them will probably get married and leave me this summer.
Family back in Oregon: I miss them SO bad. Sometimes I wish that our second house was here in Utah so that during the school year my family could be here with me but that won't happen.
Sports: A friend told me last night that the rankings don't count so much as the tournament does and I hope she's right because UNC is ranked down at #6. I know... lame. I'm enjoying all the craziness though and I can't wait until March! Selection Sunday is about 2 weeks away.
Friends: Well, mostly I don't have any but also most of them are married now. Thank you December 27th. Also, lots of engagements too. It's exciting stuff!

So that's the update for ya. Sorry I haven't been in any fights or received any exciting anonymous love note as of late. I've come to realize that the people that read my blog don't read it for the exciting, thrill factor but probably just because they love me :) Or they randomly came upon my blog and were intrigued by the lack of excitement in my life and decided to read further to try to pick out what's wrong with me. If you're that person, let me know what you figure out.

I know what you're thinking. "Dang those girls are incredibly good looking". Well, you're right. That's the fam :) 5 girls. No boys. No worries. And, no, my dad is not unhappy about it. He's actually very, very happy about it. He's a stud.

Well, merry christmas everyone. I'm sure it was grand for all. I received a lovely UNC sweatshirt from my dear sister in honor of my love for the team. I also got one of those ipod nano things. So cute! It's really small though so I hope I don't lose it. We all ventured to the mall today in hopes of finding some good sales. Among the sales we also found hundreds of other people looking for the same thing. Our family has never really been big on shopping so about 3 hours of crowded shopping is all we can handle. Then we had to eat something :) Cheers to Burgerville for being close to the mall and having delicious cheeseburgers.

So that's the break so far. I'm so grateful for my family and their love for me. It has been so nice to be home and have a break from everything :) Lindsey and I head back to Utah on January 1st :(

Kelsey found this lovely chunk of ice in our backyard!

Don't mind
the fact
that I have no
make up on
or that my
pants are
so awesome.

There is snow everywhere! The cute, furry create there on the left is my dog Bo :) I'm pretty much obsessed with him.

I can't believe all this snow! I thought I was getting out of it when I left Utah but here I am and it's still all around me. Lovely. At least it's a good excuse to just stay inside all day and watch movies. Wow, I'm lazy.

We've been writing letters all day to missionaries. A lot of my friends are coming home so soon! I can't believe two years has already gone by since they all left.

All in all, life is grand. I shoveled our sidewalk and driveway three times yesterday and I'm really sore today so I've been having Kelsey stand on my back for hours at at time. It feels really good.

I'm going home in four days!

Thursday, December 4, 2008

1. North Carolina (72) 7-0 1,800
 2. Connecticut 6-0 1,723
 3. Pittsburgh 7-0 1,592
 4. Duke 7-0 1,526

Just an update on my life. Sports. That's my life. UNC basketball is dominating college hoops. They are favored to be the national champs this year and I agree with that. They should've had it last year.

Also, finals are coming up. Only about one more week of school left! I can't WAIT to get home to Oregon. I miss it a lot. That's about all. I saw a puppy today that I wanted to buy but my apartment complex don't allow dogs or fun or anything. It's ok.
